COEEA Virtual Convening – Sharing Reinvented Summer Successes as Possible Ways to Reinvent Fall

On August 17th, we held a virtual convening to discuss successes and challenges of summer camps operating this season and adjusting to COVID-19. Thanks for joining us!

Thank you to Winding Trails (Farmington) and New Canaan Nature Center (New Canaan) for sharing your experiences with camp this summer! It was very impressive, but also reassuring, to learn that these outdoor programs, some of them serving more than 400 kids for the summer, have reported only one positive case for COVID. This is a testament to successfully implementing health and safety guidelines. Additional members also shared their reinvented summer successes and their ideas for reinventing environmental education work for the fall.

If you have a suggestion for our next call, please reach out to us (socialmedia@coeea.org) and let’s discuss the idea.
