PLENARY & KEYNOTE SPEAKERS:

We are excited to announce our dynamic plenary & keynote speakers, Dr. Greg Watson (Director of Policy & Systems Design, Schumacher Center for a New Economics) & Dr. Lesley Evan Ogden (freelance science journalist featured in New Scientist, Scientific America, BBC, CBC, and National Geographic), who will speak on topics of diversity & equity and science communication. The Connecticut Conference on Natural Resources (CCNR) and the Connecticut Outdoor and Environmental Education Association (COEEA) request submissions for their first Joint Annual Conference. The overarching theme of the conference is “Communicating Science”.

Call for Oral Presentations and Posters: 

We seek submissions for 15-minute oral presentations and poster displays, focused broadly on natural resources and education, including sub-themes such as:

Natural resources:

  • Coastal Resiliency and Climate Change

  • Forest Change

  • Soils

  • Wildlife and Fisheries Conservation

  • Water Resources

  • Green Infrastructure

  • Mapping (GIS) Data & Applications

Education:

  • Innovative Approaches & Tech in Informal and Formal EE

  • Tools & Resources for Program Evaluation

  • Green LEAF School Resources & Technology

  • Integrated EE Research

  • Integrating Climate Change Science into Curriculum

  • Equity in EE

Special Sessions/Symposia/Workshops: 

We also accept proposals for themed special sessions, mini-symposia (these can be a related string of just 4-5 presentations) and workshops that allow for more flexibility in presentation style and audience participation. These can be sponsored by your organization, and raise the awareness within our conservation and education communities.
