Mill Hill Elementary School in Southport was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the national Green Ribbon Awards Ceremony in Washington, D.C. on August 8th.
Mill Hill’s active Green Team has worked tirelessly to increase green practices at their school, including food recovery, Trex plastic bag recycling, and a cafeteria milk carton recycling program. Mill Hill Elementary was among 26 K-12 schools, 11 districts, and four postsecondary institutions honored at the event.
