Culturally-Relevant Youth Mentorship for Inclusive Environmental Action

COEEA board members and UConn Natural Resources Conservation Academy faculty shared culturally-sustaining environmental education and mentorship practices that they use to engage diverse youth in environmental stewardship.

This interactive two-part workshop explored multiple strategies to support teens, such as asset framing, cultural awareness, and healing centered engagement.

Participants actively engaged in thoughtful reflection and conversation with workshop facilitators and each other.
