We're delighted to announce that New Milford High School achieved Oak Tree status as a CT Green LEAF School!
Much of the school’s success was driven by graduating seniors David Palmer and Connor Ring, who launched several sustainability projects this year with support from the Environmental Impact Club and Assistant Principal Anthony Blake.
This included planting more than 75 trees in town, restoring the school greenhouse, building 12 new garden beds, and implementing a composting system in the school cafeteria. Their efforts not only earned them statewide recognition but also created a lasting foundation for future students to build upon.

The milestone was celebrated with a banner presentation ceremony at the school, recognizing the hard work of students, staff, and the community.
COEEA congratulates New Milford High School on this incredible achievement and thanks the entire school community for leading the way in environmental education and action.
