All K-12 public and private school teachers, paras, administrators, and other staff from all academic subject areas, including those serving students with special needs and diverse abilities, are encouraged to attend the FREE Environmental Education Guidelines for Excellence Professional Learning Workshop, presented by Bora Simmons, Director, National Project for Excellence in Environmental Education – North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE). We will meet in-person on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 8am-noon at Northwest Park in Windsor, CT. Stay for lunch (provided at no cost) and enjoy this beautiful historic park.
This ½ day workshop will delve into Best Practices in Environmental Education for K-12 classrooms. Morning snacks and lunch are provided. All participants will receive a one-year no-cost membership to the Connecticut Outdoor & Environmental Education Association (COEEA), the 90-page NAAEE Guidelines for Excellence for K-12 Education, and a Fresh from Connecticut Farms Goody Bag. This workshop provides educators with a roadmap to achieving environmental literacy and outlines a framework for effective and comprehensive environmental education programs and curricula.
